Seattle Courthouse Elopement ~ Toby and Sarah
This was such a marvelous adventure. Toby and Sarah’s Seattle courthouse elopement took place at the regal Seattle Municipal Courthouse. We met in the lobby, and found infinite spots to photograph their excitement with the city skyline in the background.
One of my favorite moments was when the judge pulled out a box of wedding rings, that he personally provides for brides and grooms who may not be able to afford their own. What a gem of a man. He took such pride in marrying these two, and said it was the highlight of his often depressing job as a domestic abuse judge.
The judge allowed us to discuss what would make for the best ceremony location, and offered us a rooftop ceremony with the most incredible views. I mean, seriously, people would pay a fortune for a view like that on their wedding day!
Sarah’s shaking and tears were so beautiful and real. These two were meant for each other, and this ceremony was perfect for them. The best part, I got to sign as a witness to their commitment to one another!
After the ceremony we played around the city of Seattle, stopping for some portrait opportunities in some interesting alcoves and stairwells. Hope you enjoy the gallery. Here’s to a lifetime of love and happiness together!
