This… this was a fun group. Our Edmonds Beach family portraits session was to honor the alpha male, their grandfather, who is in his 90’s; and celebrate the 45th anniversary of Larry and Anneliese. 45 Years of marriage, and they are still so in love. So sweet… her eyeglasses were tinted and so he let her borrow his own. I want to be that couple, where Yodi is giving me his specs when 35 years from now.

This crew has been clients of mine for years, and every session is a lot of laughs. My favorite thing about this group, is the way the boys tried so hard to ignore direction and make faces. Moms were getting impatient, boys were laughing, and some of those make for the best (real) images. I don’t know what was funnier, the boys and their silliness, or the way dad couldn’t stop laughing about the street musician singing Hallelujah.

The alpha male, Aub, was a treat to photograph with three generations after him! I have a huge place in my heart for photographing senior citizens, and so grateful I got to capture this group in all its entirety.
