PORTRAITSUW Family Portraits Day 2016The Whole U at University of Washington

Dear Amber,

Thank you so much for the images. You were the last photographer I had my pictures taken from during UW Photo Day in 2016 and I was your last “customer”. Even though you were there for 4 hours already taking pictures, you gave me the best experience I had that day. Your kindness and professionalism made you stand out to me. After looking at the images back in September, I saw how great they were and how much superior of those of the other photographers. I love each and every image that you took of me.

Thank you so much for the whole experience!

You are amazing!

When the University of Washington asked me to participate in their UW Family Portraits Day 2016 I was so excited! Not only am I a huge Huskie fan, but the chance to photograph hundreds of strangers and interact with them one on one sounded like a fun challenge. This event was put on by The Whole U, a UW alliance that supports family and wellness for its students and employees, and was a huge success. Students, alumni, and over 40,000 employees were invited to have their portraits taken.

The campus at the University of Washington is regal. I was stationed at the Columns (score)! Overcast skies made for a naturally beautiful soft box, a dream for shooting outdoors. This was my first time working for this event, and it was a great experience. I love people, and helping each of them feel comfortable with a huge audience was one of the best parts. People endured long lines (over an hour at times) to have their photo taken with me, all for just a few moments in front of the camera. They came from all over the nation, and even across the globe! Thanks to all the families and people who came to see me, it was a pleasure! Here are a few favorites.

Chelsea winger Willian scored a sublime lobbed effort against Liverpool to earn his side a draw... but did he mean it or was it a cross?
